About Me

Hi there! I’m Anél — a wife, mom, and passionate somatologist with a deep love for everything skin. My journey in skincare started with a lifelong fascination for the beauty and science behind healthy, confident skin.

After completing my Diploma in Somatology Cum Laude at the renowned Isa Carstens Academy in Stellenbosch in 2013, I began my career at a leading aesthetic clinic in Cape Town, where I gained invaluable experience over three years. My heart eventually called me back to the Winelands, where I worked alongside a Dermatologist for eight years — refining my skills and deepening my understanding of skin health on every level.

Now, as the owner of Skin Scope, I am excited to take you on your own skin journey — one filled with passion, care, and excellence. I see every day how my clients struggle with accepting the natural signs of aging, and my mission is to make you feel heard, cared for, and valued. Whether you’ve known me for years or are visiting for the first time, you will always be the most important person in the room with me.
For me, it’s not just about the treatments. I want you to leave not only with healthier, glowing skin, but also with confidence — knowing that caring for your skin is one of the best gifts you can give yourself as you age gracefully. Because healthy skin isn’t about fighting age; it’s about embracing it beautifully.

Outside of everything skin, I’m a proud wife to my wonderful husband, Eben, and mom to two beautiful little girls, Emily (5) and Helen (3).
